Rocky Railway One-Day Fun Day

Are your kids ready for an adventure at our Rocky Railway One-Day Fun Day this summer? Kids in Kindergarten through 4th grade will discover that Jesus’ power can pull them through life’s ups and downs. Camp will take place here on July 27th or 28th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and registration begins Sunday, June 13th. Contact ering@hisplacechurch.com for more information.

Royal Family KIDS volunteers needed

Royal Family KIDS strives to create life-changing moments for children who have experienced abuse, abandonment, or neglect. Our goal is that all foster children ages 6-11 are served through a relation-centric overnight camp where they have opportunities to be a kid, connect with peers and adults, and be exposed to the love of Jesus.

Our Burlington chapter is hosting an abbreviated camp this year, from July 30th to August 1st and we are hoping to serve 40 campers this season. To bring this goal to fruition we need approximately 60 volunteers to dedicate time during these three days to provide love and support to kids from hard places.

There are many ways to be involved and support camp including full-time, part-time, prep, logistics, and other behind-the-scenes roles. Please note you must be at least 16 years old to serve at camp.

If you are interested in volunteering or have questions about the program, please contact Anna Hall at 360-661-0131 or RFKBurlingtonClub@gmail.com.

Studio A every Wednesday

All 3rd through 6th graders are invited to Studio A every Wednesday in the Ark from 6:15 to 8:00 pm. We will have worship, a message, games, and tons of fun. Come hang out, and bring your friends! Approved face masks are required.

Children’s Church every Sunday

Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who signed up to teach in the Ark, all of the Children’s Church clubrooms and nursery are now open for both the 9:00 and 11:00 am Sunday services. 5th and 6th graders meet in the Boat Shed. Approved face masks are required for children 5 years and up.

Pray for One Another

We are a church that prays for one another! To help with this, a “Pray for One Another” handout is provided each Sunday to report about health situations in our church family. They are now available online too! Click here to view and/or download this week's and previous weeks' handouts.

Coffee, cookies, and fellowship

Good news! Starting this Sunday, April 18th we will have cookies and coffee, served with safety precautions in place, after each service. Please confine refreshments and conversation to the fellowship area in the back of the sanctuary.

Church office open

The church office is now open Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm starting April 14th. (Please wear a face mask when visiting the office.)

Hi, I’m Pastor Bruce.

Welcome to His Place, where the worship is heartfelt, the message is straightforward, and the children are given high priority. And please, just call me Bruce (after all, I don’t refer to you as Plumber Bill).

At His Place we appreciate authenticity, and treasure transparency. We’re real people, in a real world, serving a real God. That means we aim for a balanced mixture of lighthearted self-awareness and thoughtful God-awareness.

Have you ever felt “out of place” when faced with outmoded musical instruments, arcane religious jargon, and inexplicable rituals? I have, too. We’ve replaced those would-be barriers with culturally-relevant music, language, and traditions.

Oh, and visitors are always welcome to investigate our beliefs, patterns, and practices, in the pursuit of truth. So, whether you’re a spiritual seeker or a committed Christian, you’ve come to the right place … a fun place to get serious about God!

Please look around and get to know us … I’ll stay here and greet our next guest. And by the way, I’m glad you stopped by!
