Youth waterslides

It’s time to take Ignition to the slides! All youth (7th – 12th grade) are invited to join us for a day of fun at the Birch Bay waterslides on Wednesday, August 4th from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. $25 gets you in and dinner. Bring a swimsuit (no speedos or bikinis), towel, sack lunch (no glass items), sealed water bottle (or empty water bottle), dry clothes, and $ for locker and snacks if desired. Meet at the Youth House by 9:00 am to head up to the waterslides!

Ignition trip to Leavenworth

Ignition, our 7th – 12th grade group, is taking off on The Great Adventure - a three day trip to Leavenworth August 9th through 11th. We’ll be diving into what He has in store for our futures from the tops of trees, the backs of horses, or the middle of the rapids. Spots are filling up fast and we would hate for you to miss it! So check out the table at the back this Sunday to see if you can snag one of those last spots.

Free food boxes July 24th

We will be distributing free food boxes on Saturday, July 24th starting at 11:00 am, in the church parking lot. These boxes are available to all the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Spread the word!

If you can help on Saturday starting at 10:30 am, or for more information, please call
Pastor Nick at 360-840-7939 or send an e-mail to nickh@hisplacechurch.com.

Church pool open Tuesday - Saturday

The church pool is now open to all His Place attenders and their guests from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Concessions (towels, snacks, and drinks) are also available for purchase, which fund pool operation expenses. Children age 17 and under are required to be accompanied by an adult. Note: The pool will be closed to the public during the One-Day Fun Day events on July 27th and 28th.

Prime Time salmon barbecue

Prime Time is hosting its annual salmon barbecue on Saturday, August 7th, at 12:00 noon. We’re returning to Riverfront Park (under the pavilion) in Sedro-Woolley, where we’ll enjoy Pastor Nick’s famous grilled salmon and plenty of tasty side dishes. The fun begins at noon, with food served at 12:30. Lively fellowship and great food are guaranteed. Prime Time is a youth group for those aged 55+. If you’re new to His Place or Prime Time, this event is a great opportunity to meet new friends. Tickets will be available after services or at the church office starting this Sunday, July 18th. Contact Sue Casteel at 425-343-5914 for more information. Hope you can make it!

Support Royal Family KIDS

Royal Family KIDS Burlington is a volunteer-run, community-funded mission to serve kids from hard places. We aspire to change the trajectory for foster children who have experienced abuse, abandonment, and neglect.

Each season our campers are served through a summer camp and mentoring program where they can experience the joys of childhood, receive support from caring adults, and be exposed to the love and hope found in Christ.

The cost to send one child to camp is $300 and to send a volunteer to camp is $150. If
you are interested in helping send local foster kids to camp and mentoring club this
season please consider donating in person at the church July 11th, 18th, and 25th or electronically at paypal.me/royalfamilykids245

Children’s Church every Sunday

Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who signed up to teach in the Ark, all of the Children’s Church clubrooms and nursery are now open for both the 9:00 and 11:00 am Sunday services. 5th and 6th graders meet in the Boat Shed. Approved face masks are required for children 5 years and up.

We are a church that prays for one another! To help with this, a “Pray for One Another” handout is provided each Sunday to report about health situations in our church family. They are now available online too! Click here to view and/or download this week's and previous weeks' handouts.

Coffee, cookies, and fellowship

Good news! Starting this Sunday, April 18th we will have cookies and coffee, served with safety precautions in place, after each service. Please confine refreshments and conversation to the fellowship area in the back of the sanctuary.

Hi, I’m Pastor Bruce.

Welcome to His Place, where the worship is heartfelt, the message is straightforward, and the children are given high priority. And please, just call me Bruce (after all, I don’t refer to you as Plumber Bill).

At His Place we appreciate authenticity, and treasure transparency. We’re real people, in a real world, serving a real God. That means we aim for a balanced mixture of lighthearted self-awareness and thoughtful God-awareness.

Have you ever felt “out of place” when faced with outmoded musical instruments, arcane religious jargon, and inexplicable rituals? I have, too. We’ve replaced those would-be barriers with culturally-relevant music, language, and traditions.

Oh, and visitors are always welcome to investigate our beliefs, patterns, and practices, in the pursuit of truth. So, whether you’re a spiritual seeker or a committed Christian, you’ve come to the right place … a fun place to get serious about God!

Please look around and get to know us … I’ll stay here and greet our next guest. And by the way, I’m glad you stopped by!
