Statement of Faith
The Bible is God-inspired
and infallible. It’s our foundation, source, and authority.
2 Tim 3:16-17
The Trinity is the name for
the three personal expressions of the single, infinite, holy
God. Mat 28:19
As Father, He’s the
sovereign, just, loving creator and sustainer of all things.
1 Cor 8:6
As Son, He’s the virgin-born
savior of man; the co-creator; fully God yet fully man.
Mat 1:23; Jn 1:1-3; 14
As Spirit, He indwells,
guides, replenishes, and empowers the believer to serve
Him. Jn 14:26; Acts 1:8
Mankind was created in the
image of God, for His purpose, plans, and pleasure.
Original Sin came through
Adam’s voluntary act of rebellious disobedience.
Sin’s nature contaminates
and corrupts mankind, resulting in physical and spiritual
death. Rom 3:23; 6:23
Unconditional love is expressed
and offered by God, in spite of mankind’s sinful condition.
Repentance is turning to God
out of sincere conviction and Godly sorrow over one’s
sin. 2 Cor 7:10
Salvation is God’s rescue
from sin’s destruction and penalty to restored intimacy
with Himself. Jn 3:16
Christ died to satisfy sin’s
penalty, and rose from the dead to confirm His
victory. 1 Cor 15:3-6
Justification is a right-standing
before God; granted to us by the righteousness of Christ.
Believers receive salvation
by grace, through faith in Christ, and evidence it by good
works. Eph 2:8-10
Forgiveness is offered through
Christ’s sacrificial death when we truly confess and
repent. Eph 1:7
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
occurs at salvation and is evidenced by Spiritual “fruit.”
Acts 2:38-39; Gal 5:22-23
Filling of the Holy Spirit
is the ongoing empowerment for godliness that believers should
seek. Eph 5:18
Sanctification is daily growth
in faith and Godliness through cooperative work with His Spirit.
The Church is Christ’s
“body” and is vital to His plan and the mutual
edification of believers. Heb 10:24-25
Communion is a symbolic act
which reminds us of what Christ accomplished.
1 Cor 11:24-25
Baptism by submersion in water
is a public confession of a person’s spiritual rebirth.
1 Pet 3:21
Healing still happens today
through prayer, by God’s power, wisdom, and timing.
The second coming of Christ
should be anticipated and should spur us to godly living.
Judgment comes after death,
as reward for the believer, and as punishment for the unbeliever.
2 Cor 5:10
Heaven is the glorious eternal
home for all genuine believers.
Jn 14:2-3; 3:36
Hell is a place of eternal
torment for Satan and all who reject Christ.
Evangelism by modeling and
sharing Jesus Christ should be a priority for each believer.
