Terrazas del valle in 1994 |
As it looks today
|
The town of Terrazas del Valle originated in 1994 when impoverished “squatters” from the south began building plywood homes on the land. The Mexican government eventually surveyed the land and gave the residents the option to purchase their sections of property. Today the residents of Terrazas del Valle make payments toward ownership of their humble plots of land.
His Place supports a church in Terrazas del Valle through funding and short-term missions, where volunteers help build facilities for the church.

Residents of the town live in extreme poverty.
The church provides free schooling to their children, as well
as ministering to their spiritual needs through the love of
Jesus Christ.
