Peace isn’t found in the absence of trouble. It comes from having Jesus as our anchor and foundation, especially in the storm.
We desperately need an ultimate anti-venom, because we can’t help but keep ingesting the deadly poison under our tongue and in our heart.
The Colossian Christians were bombarded with an onslaught of spiritual ideologies, and began to buy into the notion of combining religions views. Paul writes to remind them: If Christ isn’t everything, He’s nothing.
Suffering provides an opportunity to partner with Jesus and put God’s dominion on display. Nothing will impact those around you like singin’ in the pain.
Right now, the whole world is realizing that we’re all in the same boat; and we’re not as in control as we think, and far more dependent on something outside of ourselves than we thought.
Jesus had already given many signs to the “wicked and adulterous generation.” But they weren’t seeing them, because they were blind to them. And He can’t give what we won’t receive.
The Old Testament harmonizes exactly like the Gospels. And we’ve never read the story of David and Goliath before, woven together!
God doesn’t want those created in His image to be ashamed of their being. But, their doing? Well, that’s another story.
